The Las Cruces Ukes is a community group of ukulele enthusiasts based in Las Cruces, New Mexico. We are a non-profit organization with the goal of sharing the love of ukulele music throughout our community. As part of that mission, we host free adult practices every week with Strum for Fun and performance groups, and also have Las Cruces Ukes Teen Club practices weekly during the school year and Las Cruces Ukes Kids Club practices twice monthly (read more about those opportunities on their pages). We also perform at a wide range of events in the area, having performed over 60 times in the last three years.
To help spread that ukulele love even farther, we host the annual Las Cruces UkeFest. Las Cruces UkeFest 2018 took place May 18 – 20 at the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum, featuring guest instructors Craig Chee, Sarah Maisel, Mark Baker, Lil’ Rev, and Rachel Manke. The Friday evening concert was be held at the Atkinson Recital Hall at NMSU and drew 300 music lovers. Las Cruces UkeFest 2019 is scheduled for May 17 – 19 at the same venues.
