We offer two different practice groups for adults – and even teens: the Strum for Fun group and the performance group. The main differences are that the songs for the Strum for Fun group tend to be a bit easier and they’re played just to have a good time. The performance group ventures out into the community to perform, so those practices are focused on improving and fine-tuning songs.

We are currently still asking for all participants to be fully vaccinated, although masks are not required at this time.

Where: Good Samaritan — Las Cruces Village, 3011 Buena Vida Circle, Las Cruces, in the Creative Arts room. On occasion, we meet downstairs in the conference room next to the theater.

When: Thursday evenings; Strum for Fun is 5:30 – 6:10 p.m.; Performance group practices from  6:15 – 7:15 p.m.

There is never a charge to participate and we have some loaner ukuleles for those who want to just come to give playing the ukulele a try.

Our “ukulele bible” is the Daily Ukulele (yellow cover), with some songs from the Daily Ukulele Leap Year Edition (blue cover). We have loaners of those, as well. Come give it a try!
